Engineered Bamboo Decking

Engineered Bamboo is the future of renewable building materials.
Afforest Group supply the exclusive ‘Eco Greenhaus’ range of renewable engineered bamboo decking.
Bamboo is harvested in just 4 years, compared with 40 years for pine and 80 years for most other hardwoods.

Introducing Engineered Bamboo – the future of outdoor design. Experience the fusion of steel-like strength, aluminium-like weight and timber aesthetics in a renewable, eco-conscious material.

High Pressure Stamped (HPS) Bamboo decking is an advanced, eco-friendly solution that combines longevity, low maintenance, and comfortable walking surfaces. Exclusively available in Australia through Eco Greenhaus, HPS decking is offered in Teak and Dark Chocolate color options. This innovative technology is created by applying colored granulated bamboo to a strand woven solid bamboo decking board under high pressure, resulting in a natural-looking and durable decking board that excels in the Australian climate.

Eco Greenhaus HPS bamboo decking outperforms traditional materials like merbau and composite decking in several aspects, including sustainability, durability, aesthetic appeal, and ease of installation. With its highly renewable nature, resistance to moisture, insects, and rot, and natural hardwood-like appearance, HPS bamboo decking is an ideal cost-effective and environmentally responsible alternative. The easy installation process, featuring powder-coated stainless steel clips, makes it a convenient choice for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts.

High Pressure Stamped \
High Pressure Stamped (HPS) Engineered Bamboo decking is an innovative solution that increases longevity, reduces maintenance, and provides a comfortable walking surface. This advanced decking technology is designed to withstand harsh Australian climates and is offered in two colour options: Teak and Dark Chocolate.

Low Maintenance, Soft Finish \
The ‘Eco Greenhaus’ range of HPS engineered bamboo decking is designed to prevent cupping, splitting and cracking, making it a superior surface to traditional timber decks. HPS is a cooler and more comfortable surface to walk on. Maintenance is minimal, requiring only occasional cleaning and re-oiling every few years to preserve its luster with no sanding ever required.

Renewable Materials \
Bamboo is a highly sustainable and renewable resource that grows rapidly, making it an exceptionally eco-conscious material. Additionally, bamboo is naturally strong, durable, and resistant to moisture, insects, and rot, ensuring a long-lasting product. Its aesthetic appeal is comparable to traditional hardwoods with none of the negative environmental impact of deforestation.

How Its Made \
HPS decking is created by applying coloured granulated bamboo to a strand woven solid bamboo decking board under high pressure. The board is then stamped with a timber grain, baked at 200°C, and treated to ensure a durable, low-maintenance product. The result is a natural-looking and feeling decking board that performs exceptionally well in the Australian climate.

Ease Of Installation \
Installation is made simple with the use of powder-coated stainless steel clips, eliminating the need for drilling or lifting nails that can cause tripping hazards. This easy installation process makes HPS decking a convenient choice for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts.

Comparison To Composite Decking \
Composite decking, which is made from a mixture of wood fibres and plastic, can be more expensive and lacks the natural aesthetic appeal of bamboo. Merbau, a tropical hardwood, is highly durable but is also more expensive and also has a larger environmental impact due to its slow growth rate and cultivation requirements. HPS bamboo decking combines cost-effectiveness, environmental responsibility, durability, aesthetic appeal, and ease of installation, making it an ideal alternative to traditional decking materials.
